Maxime Forest

Associate Professor and Researcher, Sciences Po Paris Yellow Window Consultants (France)  

He holds a PhD in political science (European Studies) from Sciences Po, Paris. His research interest concentrates on the Europeanization of gender equality policies in the enlarged EU and women’s participation in politics. He published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including Comparative European politics (2013), Revue Internationale de Politique Comparée or Politique européenne (2006), and chapters in edited volumes from international publishers (Routledge, Palgrave MacMillan). In 2012, he also co-edited with Emmanuela Lombardo: The Europeanization of gender equality policies: a Discursive-Sociological approach (Palgrave). In 2004, he co-edited with Georges Mink: Post-communisme: Les sciences sociales à l’Epreuve (L’Harmattan). Since 2011, Maxime Forest is technical advisor attached to the gender unit of the French Ministry of research and higher education.

In 2013, he has been appointed chairperson of the International and European committee of the French High Gender Equality Council. He also intervenes as a private consultant and a trainer in the field of gender equality in research and innovation, mainly within the frame of EU-funded projects.
