Mgr. Jiří Kolman
After finishing his master studies of Law and European studies at Masaryk University in Brno in 2005 he worked at Mendel University at Faculty of Business and Economics as a research assistant. In 2006/2007 he did traineeship in European Commission in DG Regional Policy (Unit for Czech Republic, Belgium and Luxemburg) in Brussels. The core agenda was the participation in preparation rules (Operational programmes and National Strategic Framework Programme for the Czech Republic) for EU structural funding for CZ. In the period 2007-2011 September 2007 – December 2011 he represented the South Moravian Region (CZ) to the EU in Brussels. in conferences. The main topics of working agenda were mainly projects financed from EU funds (structural funds, FP7 and other EC funds); future of the regional policy; legislation in the field of R&D, SMEs, innovations, agriculture, wine sector, rural and regional development.
From the beginning of 2012 he is the scientific secretary of Global Change Research Centre Academy of Sciences Czech Republic (CzechGlobe) that is seated in Brno. One of his responsibilities are external relations and the realisation of the EU R&D projects (EU framework programmes, EU structural funding, international projects) implemented by the Centre. Since 2012 he studies the Ph.D. programme EU law at Masaryk University at Faculty of Law.
