Per A. Nilsson

Currently working as the International Director at Umeå University, Sweden. In 1982 received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in urban planning and regional development from Umeå University, Sweden. Awarded a Master of Arts in 1983 from University of Minnesota, USA. Further, received a Filosofie licentiat (1987) in Social and Economic Geography from Umeå University, Sweden

Always had an interest of working internationally, which started when being 16 year old had the opportunity to study as an exchange student at Newark High School in Ohio, USA, as a Youth for Understanding scholar. Many years later returned to the USA as a graduate student at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, with a scholarship from the Rotary Foundation. Have always enjoyed working in international settings. This has been very awarding and a great learning experience.
