Sylvie Rohanová

Originally she was a historian with special interest in the modern history of India. Between 1973 and 1991 she worked in the Oriental Institute and in the Institute of Contemporary History of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. Between 1991 and 2002 she directed the Research Support Scheme, a foundation in social sciences and humanities belonging to the Soros Foundations structure. As of November 2005 she has been working in the European Commission in Brussels, firstly as a Lifelong Learning Programme Manager in DG Education and Culture. Since 2011 she is a Scientific Programme Officer and Programme Coordinator for FP7-SSH and H2020-Reflective Societies programmes in DG Research and Innovation.
