Economic, social and environmental aspects of collaborative economy from the point of view of the Czech Republic
The aim of the project is to broaden knowledge about collaborative economy, its opportunities, limitations and risks in a European context with regard to the specifics of the Czech Republic. Alternative views of this phenomenon will be examined with an emphasis on economic, social and environmental aspects.
Project objectives
Project objectives:
1) To specialize the phenomenon of collaborative economy.
2) To identify the sectors and platforms of collaborative economy used in the Czech Republic.
3) To identify examples of good sharing practice from the point of view of the Czech Republic, this being both from the point of view of P2P (Peer-to-Peer) sharing and also from the point of view of B2C (Business-to-Consumer) sharing.
4) To analyse and evaluate experience with collaborative consumption and the attitude of the younger generation – students at the University of Pardubice towards this phenomenon.
5) To identify possible forms, or even examples of good practice in B2B (Business-to-Business) sharing.
6) To comprehensively assess the economic, social and environmental benefits and risks of application of principles of collaborative economy with respect to the specifics of the Czech Republic and to formulate recommendations which will contribute towards development of collaborative economy, both for interested parties and also for governmental regulatory institutions.
7) To present and discuss the findings of the research.
Team members
Liběna Tetřevová, Ph.D.
MC Member
She is Associate Professor in Business and Management Studies at the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. She has been attending, in her research, publishing and pedagogical activities, to the problems of new trends in business and management, especially partnership, collaboration and social responsibility of economic entities. She has been a researcher or a co-researcher in a number of research projects focussed on the problems of the Triple Helix model of partnership, or the problems of social responsibility. She is a leader of a six-member research team dealing with the issue of alternative forms of collaboration within the context of social responsibility. She is the author of over 200 scientific and methodological works and publications. |
Jan Vávra, Ph.D.
Research team member
He is Assistant Professor in Product Life Cycle Management and Stakeholder Relationship at the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. In his scientific work, he focuses on environmental management, especially on Product Life Cycle methods. He also analyses the contribution of scientific methods to the concepts of Sustainable Development, Sustainable Production and Consumption, CSR and the Environmental Management System. As a research leader or co-researcher, he has participated in 10 research projects. He is an author or co-author of 10 monographs, 70 scientific papers and 5 teaching texts. |
Simona Munzarová, Ph.D.
Research team member
She is Assistant Professor in Economy of the Environment and Management Science Modelling at the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. In her scientific work, she focuses on management science modelling, environmental management and environmental accounting. She is an author or co-author of 3 monographs, 6 research studies, 60 scientific papers. She participated in more than 10 research projects. In 2002-2005, she was a member of a workgroup at the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic for the area of Environmental Management Accounting. |
Jana Koštálová, Ph.D.
Research team member
She is Assistant Professor in Project Management at the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. In her scientific work, she focuses on the area of project management and support of this area with information systems. She is an author or co-author of 3 monographs and 25 scientific papers. She has practical experience with project management both in the private and in the public sectors. She is an active member of the IPMA CZ (International Project Management Association Czech Republic). |
Martina Jelínková, Ph.D.
Research team member
She is Assistant Professor in Marketing and Social Communication at the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. In her scientific work, she focuses on marketing research and marketing communication. She is an author or co-author of 4 monographs, 5 research studies and 90 scientific papers. As a research leader or co-researcher, she has participated in 12 projects. She is a member of the Czech Marketing Association. |

She is Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management at the University of Pardubice, the Czech Republic. In her scientific work, she focuses on human resource management, communication and social aspects of sustainable development.
