How do project offices work?
International seminar 2012
We would like to address you and your colleagues with the offer to participate in the International seminar 2012 – „How do project offices work?“ designed mainly for those involved in preparation and implementation of the EU projects (administrative and academic staff). The two–day seminar is organized within the project „Grant Office – the way to successful projects (GROFF)“. GROFF started on 1 August 2011 as a part of the Operational Programme “Education for Competitiveness”. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and supported by the state budget of the Czech Republic. (http://projekty.upce.cz/groff/index.html).
International seminar 2012 will be held on 16 - 17 February in the University Hall.
Participation at the seminar is FREE OF CHARGE (fully covered by the project resources)
- each participant will receive conference materials and collection of papers
- meals including buffet dinner will be covered by the organizers
- participants are expected to cover their travel and accommodation expenses (for the recommended accommodation facilities see enclosure)
- official language: ENGLISH
The seminar will be divided into 2 sections:
Section 1 – Project office activities (17 lectures)
Topics covered:
Project office activities – integration into the organizational structure
Presentation of the most interesting university projects
Education in project management and project preparation
Project financial management
Project team cooperation
International cooperation / Consortiums and ways of communication
Types of participation:
1. Lecture/still 7 free places/
30-minute lecture (20-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion) designed in PowerPoint or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) in 10 - 15 slides. PC and Data Projector will be available.
We will inform you about the presentations schedule before 30.1.2012. Lecturers will be asked to send an abstract of the lecture in English before 30.1.2012to the e-mail address lenka.vitkova@upce.cz. Please see the attached requirements for the abstract format.
The best lecture voted for by the participants will be rewarded.
2. Conference Paper
Participants will be asked to send the paper in English before 30.1.2012, to the e-mail address lenka.vitkova@upce.cz. Please see the attached requirements for the paper format.
Selected papers can be remunerated.
3. Lecture + Conference Paper
See above.
4. Attendance without contribution.
Section 2 - How to design international R&D projects? (workshop)/ still 4-8 free places/
Section 2 will have the format of a guided workshop chaired by an expert from abroad. Participation is limited by a maximum of 15-20 persons.
