The Regional Contact Organization (RCO) for the Framework Programmes of the European Commission has been operating at the University of Pardubice since 2000. It is part of the NINET network. Since 2017, RKO activities have been performed within the INCENTIVE project - Information Centre for Internationalization of Research and Involvement in the ERA. This project builds on the successful implementation of RIKoC and RIKoC+ projects in 2000-2016.
The aim of the INCENTIVE project is to develop and strengthen the quality of Czech research and development by providing support and assistance services to increase the involvement and success rate of Czech entities, in particular universities and research organizations from the Pardubice and Hradec Králové regions, into the European Research Area, international research and development programmes and other multilateral activities.
The INCENTIVE project aims to develop a comprehensive system of support for international research projects throughout the project cycle, i.e. “from idea to impact”.
The experienced project team provides those interested in the support with information and assistance with the preparation of project proposals, and project investigators with support in negotiations, material and financial management, administration, reporting and alignment of internal legislation with the requirements of individual programmes. The project also focuses on providing the necessary support services to foreign R&D workers.
An integral part of the work is also the professional development of the research team and networking for the acquisition and sharing of experience in the scientific and professional community, aiming to effectively obtain information from the advisory bodies of individual programmes.
The project is financed from the MEYS programme of international cooperation in research and development INTER-EXCELLENCE, sub-programme INTER-INFORM under Reg. No. LTI17004. The project completion period is from February 1, 2017 to December 31, 2020.
The principal investigator is Ing. Monika Vejchodová, Head of the UPa Department for International Affairs and Development.
